Reef booties or fins? - swim booties

I'm on vacation on the island of Hawaii for 2 weeks and will do anything snorkeling and diving. Not used in the past, corals have boots or fins, but recommended for this trip, I want to carry two things I saw on several occasions, dip the Big Iceland. Originally I thought I had two different purposes (hiking boots reef, and fins for swimming), but recently I read some comments recommended by people who prey, fins again, and vice versa. I wanted to get only the opinions and recommendations. If I go with the wings, I want something flat and easy to use (such as fin swimming, for example). Advice or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
